Glückshaus (translated it becomes House of Fortune) is gambling game played on a board and stems from Medieval times for multiple players, and is played with 2 dice.
Rules
The board has a number of fields and are numbered from 2 to 12 , they are to resemble the rooms of a house. Each round, every player rolls two dice.
* When something other than 2, 4, 7 or 12, is rolled the player places a coin if that field is empty, or takes the coin if the room has one already.
* If the player rolls 2, it is known as “the Pig” and the player has to collect all the coins except the coins that lie on room seven.
* Should the player roll the illusive 12, the player is “the king” (or König) and gets the coins on the board and also the ones on room 7.
* When a player rolls a 7, that is called a “marriage” (or Hochzeit), the player has to place a coin on the square no matter what (called a dowry). This room acquires a jackpot until the “king” (12) comes along and takes it all.
* Also if the 4 is in play, either nothing happens, or a predefined rule comes into force (one such a rule could be for example a coin is given to the owner of the board).
The game will declare a victor, and he/she is the one with all the coins.
