Now it is time for the draws, just look out

Try to memorize these draws, as you can change your play accordingly. In online poker it pays to be flexible. Also do not play in one room, or with one casino just nose around a bit. You need casinos and poker rooms that give you cash easily. This means find a place where the fishes and the donkeys hang out. Next you need a nice casino or poker room that gives you some competition to work on your skills. Last you need to set yourself a goal, so find one of those hard impossible to reach level of poker.
These are the hands that are not good on the flop but can become good if the right cards show their ugly mugs. Of course you all understand that there are strong and weak draws, saintly and evil or common and miraculous draws. When you are hoping for that one suit card that will make your flush, generally you have 9 other cards that can complete that request. When you have a pair and you need a set, or three of a kind, you only have two other cards that will give you that nice present.

OESD : Open Ended Straight Draw
Plainly speaking it means that with the initial cards you were given and the three cards on the board you have four consecutively ranked cards. This also goes for the turn, what did you think? The problem is you do not have a straight (5 consecutively ranked cards) but you can have one if you either get the value at the top or at the bottom. All this talk, time for some action:
We have a mixed marriage, a King and Queen off suit, and the flop shows us a Ten, Jack and Four. So if the turn or river would give us any Ace or any Nine we would have a straight. This is called the OESD, and you have 8 cards that can give you this request.
Next up Flushdraw
This one is very straightforward, you have four cards of the same suit (combination of board and hand) so you need only one extra card with the same suit. Gaze upon the beauty of simple:
We hold Big Slick, Ace and King of hearts, the board gazes at us with Four of Diamonds, Jack of hearts and Nine of hearts. With nine more cards giving us the chance to get a flush.
Call in the Monsterdraw.
Monsterdraw is when you have a combination of a Flushdraw and a Straightdraw. Some cards give you a flush and some give you a straight. The reason why this is a strong hand is because of the total of fifteen cards that give you the money. You have nine for a flush and six for a nice straight. If you are wondering why six and not eight, you are not stupid and I will explain. Two of the eight cards will give you a flush (they are of the same suit) and a flush is higher than a straight, just barely but it is, and so it does not count for the straight. Time to get down and dirty:
We hold Valentine’s Day, King and Queen of hearts, and the board eyeballs us with Ten of Diamonds, Jack of hearts and a Four of hearts. So if we get any Nine or any Ace (except those of hearts) we have a nice straight, but if we get any hearts card we have that freaking flush.
Watch out for the Gutshot
Well this one is the nastier, more annoying little brother of the OESD. You need a card that is in between the values. So that is why it is called the gutshot or belly buster if you prefer. The straight is missing the middle card or gut/belly. But also it feels horrible to you when someone has hit a gutshot and you oversaw it, or nicer is those butterflies that come out of hiding and fill you up when you hit that gutshot on an all-in call. Again time for some action:
We hold Mixed Marriage and the board stares up at us with those god awful cards a Ten, Nine and Four. So we need a Jack to complete this straight, any Jack will do but there are only four left in the deck. Now we have four cards that will do the trick and before with the handsome brother we had eight.

You can hardly miss with the Double Gutshot
This one draw is hard to spot but, by Joe, will it be mean if you hit it. This is called a double gutshot or (you guessed it) double belly buster, because you have a combination of two gutbusters. This sounds confusing and if not I am going to throw you an example anyway:
We hold Quack, a Queen and a Jack, and the board shows us the fabulous flop containing an Ace, a Ten and an eight. As you can see any King gives you a straight and also any nine. This is as OESD because here we also have eight cards that give us that nasty victory.
The fun and sexy Overcards
You haven’t got a made hand and not even one of the above draws, and still your initial cards are higher than the board. Then these cards are called overcards, also if you hit a pair you have top pair. This is not a strong hand but has the potential to be dangerous. Find out how dangerous yourself:
Again we have Mixed Marriage and the board only spits at us with a Ten, Three and Four.
A lethal combo consisting of Overcards and a Gutshot.
Do not try this on drinking nights, but otherwise this is a nice draw. I will just give you an example and you will understand.
I am getting sick of this Mixed Marriage but the flop treats us to a nice strong company a Ten, Nine and a Four. So we have the overcards should a King or Queen arrive, both have three brothers or sisters waiting for a total of six, we have top pair. If a Jack comes, they are still four nephews, it brings the total to ten cards that can give us the cash.
