Two-up

Gameplay

This game is not in the online casinos yet, but should be as the house’s edge is pretty good. There is a one in four chance the player will win or lose, and a fifty-fifty chance that the player will throw again. It is addictive, simple, plain and fun. It could be the next hype like online poker, or even as great as getting a online casino bonus.
One individual is appointed as the Spinner (more often than not welcomed by loud calls of “Come in Spinner!” which point of origin lies by the rest of the players). The Spinner is must place a bet before his first throw and also it must be covered or equalled by someone else. In case of the Spinner winning they keep the bet plus the cover, should the spinner lose it all goes to the player who covered the spinner. The Boxer (who manages the game and does not partake in the betting) takes a commission out of this bet. The Spinner tosses the coins in the air using the kip(plank of wood where one coin is heads up and one tails up) until he either wins or loses.

So the basic format of the game is as follow:

* Two heads indicates the Spinner wins.
* Two tails indicates the Spinner loses.
* Odds (one coin heads up, one tails up) indicates the Spinner throws again.

People can also place side bets (bets against each other) on whether the Spinner will win or lose and in the case of Odds what will be the result of the next throw.

Variations

Variations are all variations on the definition of “win” and “lose” for the Spinner. These include:

* The Spinner only wins after throwing multiple times of heads in succesive order, e.g..: three heads are thrown before tails comes up, with an unlimited number of Odds permissible.: “Odds, Heads, Odds, Odds, Heads, Odds, Heads, Tails” would be a win in this example case where three heads were required to win.
* If the Spinner throws any number of Odds they lose, be it succesive or just total.

It is played in casinos, and then the Spinner’s bet is covered by the house by default, as well the side-bets.
